The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is hosting an additional online webinar on the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) on Wednesday, August 12th from 10-11am PDT. Interested parties can register here.
The CCTC is focused on attracting and retaining business in California. GO-Biz evaluates the most competitive applications based on various factors required by statute including jobs created, investment, average wage, economic impact, and strategic importance.
Last fiscal year, GO-Biz awarded approximately $150 million to 212 companies that are projected to create over 29,400 jobs and invest over $7.1 billion. During fiscal year 2015-16, GO-Biz will accept applications for the CCTC during the following periods:
- July 20, 2015, through August 17, 2015 ($75 million available)
- January 4, 2016, through January 25, 2016 ($75 million available)
- March 7, 2016, through March 28, 2016 ($50.9 million plus any remaining unallocated amounts from the previous application periods)
