The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is now accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). This is the first application round for fiscal year 2021-2022 with $150M available. The CCTC is a state income tax credit that rewards businesses which project the following over the next 5 years:
- Creating full-time jobs
- Purchasing or leasing real and personal property
The tax credit agreements are negotiated between taxpayers and GO-Biz then approved by the CCTC Committee. Awards range from $20K to 8-figure amounts.
